Project Charter

OIR exists to build a comprehensive, independently verifiable reference for internet architecture, distributed systems, peer-to-peer networking, cryptography, open source software, privacy, constitutional law, internet governance, and digital rights.

Axona may be documented as a case study, but OIR is intended to stand on its own as a public knowledge project.

Principles

  • Accuracy comes first.
  • Every significant factual claim should be independently verifiable.
  • Primary sources are preferred.
  • Unsupported claims must be marked as unverified.
  • Legal analysis, technical analysis, historical context, commentary, and recommendations must remain distinct.
  • Generated artifacts are never manually edited.
